Northern Lights Gala

The Northern Lights Gala invites the Northern Utah United community to come together for a formal evening filled with purpose, pride, and a touch of sparkle. More than a fundraiser, this night celebrates the heart of our club — our players, families, coaches, supporters, and Guiding Lights — whose unity drives our mission on and off the field.

Formal Gala: 5:30–8:00 PM (Dinner, Guest Speakers, Dessert & Dancing)
Dance-Only Portion (Ages 12+): 8:00–9:30 PM

Evening Highlights

Guests will enjoy an elegant buffet-style dinner catered by La Tormenta Mexican Restaurant, a locally owned business proudly connected to NUU. The evening will feature inspiring guest speakers, a special slideshow presentation, and the Wall of Guiding Lights, recognizing the dedication and achievements of our players and community members.

Following dinner, all attendees are invited to enjoy 30 minutes of dessert and dancing from 7:30–8:00 PM — a joyful moment for players and their Guiding Lights to share the floor together.
Afterward, players aged 12 and older are welcome to stay for the Dance-Only portion (8:00–9:30 PM), a fun and supervised celebration filled with music, lights, and energy.
Players under age 12 conclude their evening at 8:00 PM following dessert and the first dance.

Dinner Menu

Prepared by La Tormenta Mexican Restaurant, the buffet includes:

• Pork Tamales (Gluten-Free option)

• Cheese Quesadillas (Kid-friendly option)

• Chicken Enchiladas

• Beef Enchiladas
  
  Sides: Traditional Mexican rice, refried beans, fresh lettuce, and house-made chips & salsa

Please select your main dish at the time of ticket purchase to ensure the best dining experience for everyone.

Dress Code

This is a formal event.

• Ladies: Formal dresses or gowns

• Gentlemen: Suit or dress shirt with tie and slacks
  Attire should reflect the elegance and celebratory spirit of the evening.

A Night to Remember

Your Northern Lights Gala ticket includes both the formal dinner gala and the dance portion.
This evening is more than a meal — it’s a celebration of community, culture, and connection. It reminds us that soccer is about more than just the game — it’s about belonging, growth, and shining together under the Northern Lights.

Why We’re Releasing Tickets in Phases

To make sure every player has the opportunity to participate, we’re releasing tickets in three phases. The goal is to ensure that each player and their chosen Guiding Light can attend before we open additional spots to families and guests.

Phase 1 (Nov 1 – Nov 30):
Tickets are reserved for players and their Guiding Light.
If a Guiding Light has more than one player, they can include all participating players when reserving seats.

Phase 2 (Dec 1 – Dec 15):
Players and their Guiding Lights can still purchase tickets.
We’ll also open additional tickets for family members, friends, and guests who wish to join in the celebration.

Phase 3 (Dec 16 – Jan 10):
All remaining tickets will be available for players, Guiding Lights, and guests.
To encourage early reservations, prices will increase by $20 per ticket during this final phase.

Dance-Only Celebration

If dinner isn’t your thing, the celebration continues with a Dance-Only portion — an energetic, youth-centered event designed to capture the excitement and spirit of a classic middle school or homecoming-style dance.

Open to ages 12 and older, this portion of the evening welcomes both Northern Utah United club members and non-members, encouraging friends to join the fun and experience what our club community is all about.
Please note: Non-club members must arrive with a registered club member to attend.

The dance will feature:

• A live DJ curating an upbeat, family-friendly playlist

• Young adult dance leaders teaching and leading fun group dances — including swing and line dancing

• Adult parent chaperones maintaining a positive, supervised environment

• On-site security ensuring safety and peace of mind for all attendees

Dance Hours: 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Pickup: All attendees must be promptly picked up before 10:00 PM, as doors will close at that time.

Join us for an evening of laughter, music, and memories under the Northern Lights — the perfect way to wrap up the Northern Lights Gala with friends, fun, and community spirit.

Special Note for Parents

Parents who wish to remain on-site during the dance are welcome! Beginning at 8:00 PM, the upstairs level of the venue will open as a comfortable seating area where parents can relax, connect, and browse NUU merchandise available for purchase — all while enjoying the atmosphere of the evening.
