Fee Overview
NUU prides itself on transparency. Player fees for the 2026–2027 season are outlined for each league and team using the links below.
Please note that the total cost shown does not include team fees. These will vary based on factors such as coaching staff, tournaments, coach travel, winter leagues, and other team-specific expenses. Players who participate in a High School Provisional team will incur additional costs for fields, referees, and UYSA registration for that additional season of play.
Uniform costs are separate from the fees listed below.
NUU Academy players that play in the Northern Utah Development League typically use the same uniform until they advance to state-level play or outgrow it. Purchasing a larger size can allow uniforms to last approximately 4–5 years.
NUU State and ECNL-RL teams follow a two-year uniform cycle, purchasing new kits every other year. The 2026–2027 season is an off year in this cycle. However, all new players will be required to purchase uniforms this year, and all state and ECNL-RL players will purchase new uniforms the following year.
This cycle aligns with standard practices used by major sports outfitters for large clubs. Uniforms are purchased through Soccer.com and are intended for use over a two-year period.
It is important for parents to understand that when a player is placed on an NUU team, they are making a one-year commitment to that team and club, which includes responsibility for all associated fees for the full year.
At the time of registration, all parents are required to sign an NUU Financial Agreement acknowledging their understanding of this financial obligation and their commitment to making all required payments.
If a payment becomes delinquent, families will have 30 days from the original payment date to bring the account current or establish an approved payment arrangement. Failure to do so will result in the player being removed from the team roster and made ineligible to participate until the account is brought current. Once payment is received, please allow up to 48 hours for roster reinstatement.
A $30 charge will be applied for each declined payment.
If a player consistently fails to meet payment deadlines, NUU reserves the right to remove the player from the roster or make any necessary adjustments deemed to be in the best interest of the club.
If the full balance is not paid by the due date, NUU will continue to process biweekly payment attempts until the outstanding balance has been paid in full.
Athlete One offers a 9-month payment plan option for Club Fees, with a minimum down payment of $150. Please note that this amount does not include the 3.5% processing fee.
Registration deadlines are as follows:
U6–U12 due by June 4th
U13–U19 due by June 11th
NUU has added a more detailed refund policy in the event of future natural disasters, including COVID-19. The new refund policy states:
- If in-person training sessions stop due to a natural disaster or restrictions imposed by the government, the Club will refund 25% of the training fees that have been paid for every month that in-person trainings are canceled.
- If league play is suspended for any reason, a portion of the field and referee fees that you have paid, and that have been refunded to the Club, will be refunded to you in proportion to the amount of the season that has been suspended.

Why Our Fees May Appear Higher at First Glance
We believe families deserve full transparency. Instead of advertising a low base fee and then adding costs throughout the season, we provide a clear estimated total annual cost upfront.
Many clubs and teams promote a lower starting price, but then charge separately for items like indoor facility time, team expenses, and other operational costs. Those additional fees can add up quickly and often come as unexpected surprises. No family should feel like they are being nickel-and-dimed throughout the year.
Our approach is designed to help families plan ahead, budget with confidence, and avoid unexpected costs during the season.
Clear pricing. Fewer surprises.
Questions to Ask When Comparing Clubs/Teams
There’s a reason a salesman advertises a sticker price and then leaves you to dig through the fine print—it’s designed to draw you in with a simple, attractive number while the full cost is only revealed after you’re engaged.
When evaluating different programs, organizations consider asking:
- Does the club/team compensate its coaches for their time, licensing, and ongoing development, or are coaches expected to volunteer significant hours and resources?
- How many training sessions does the team have per week?
- What is the winter plan? Is indoor training space secured, how often do teams train, and what is the associated cost?
- Is there a director overseeing my child’s age group to ensure consistent player and coach development, regardless of level or additional payments?
- What is the true total cost for the full year once all fees and expenses are included?
- Where does the money actually go within the organization?
- If my player develops faster than their current team, is there a clear pathway to move into a more challenging environment—or are they effectively locked into one roster? Will the coach actively promote them to a higher level, or keep them on the team to win games at the expense of the player’s development opportunities?
- Is there a college recruiting liaison or club-wide recognition that helps players pursue opportunities after youth soccer?
- At the highest levels of competition, are qualified trainers or staff present on game days?
